Hundreds of Santas will be running through the streets of downtown at the fourth annual Oaks Kiwanis Club 1.25 Mile Santa Fun Run on Saturday, preceding the 65th annual Cortana Kiwanis Christmas Parade.

The run starts on the corner of River Road and Government Street. Streets will close at 2:30 p.m. and Santas will line up for the run at 4:45 p.m. The race begins at 5 p.m., followed by the parade at 5:30 p.m.

All registered participants will receive Santa suits consisting of a red jacket, black belt, red pants and Santa hat to wear during the fun run and finisher medals. Adult sizes include a beard. Runners are asked to donate toys and books to St. Vincent de Paul.

Following the run, participants will be able to watch the parade from a VIP runners viewing section. VIP viewing passes are $5 per person and can be purchased online during the registration process.

Register at or on site the day of the run. Fees are $20 for adults and $15 for children 13 years of age and younger. All proceeds will benefit the Oaks Kiwanis Club’s community service projects.
