A student garden at Christian Life Academy has provided more than 19 pounds of fresh vegetables to the Shepherd’s Market food pantry.

Students recently delivered 2½ pounds of vegetables from the garden, a news release from the school said.

Students planted the garden in the spring and continued to care for it during the summer break.

The garden continues to produce cucumbers, green beans and tomatoes.

The students also are working on a project to turn leaves, pine straw and other materials into compost.
