St. Jude the Apostle Men’s Club volunteers wore Hawaiian shirts and greeted students on the first day of school at St. Jude School with “aloha.”
The men volunteered in the school parking lot, overseeing carpool lines and ensuring the safety of some 600 students, a news release from the school said.
The faculty and staff of SJS said the added help from club members during the first three weeks of school helps students and their parents through the transportation protocol learning curve.
The mission of the St. Jude Men’s Club is to aid and support St. Jude the Apostle Parish and all of the ministries of the parish in whatever capacities possible; having fun and Christian fellowship while doing so, the release said.
