Runnels students compete in art show _lowres

The 2014 Runnels Spring Art Show, held May 4 in the school gym, featured more than 2,000 pieces of original artwork created by students in preschool through high school.

Pieces selected as Judges’ Choice winners in seventh through 12th grades will be on exhibit in the foyer of the Runnels Theater for one year, and Principal’s Choice and Assistant Principal’s Choice winners in first through 12th grades will be on permanent display in school offices, a news release from the school said.

Judges’ Choice Awards

Junior High, 2-D: Ryan Carrier, first place; Ethan Wells, second; and Lee Curry, third.

Junior High, 3-D: Alexis Rogers, first place; Sara Brandenburg, second place; and McKenna Tregre, third.

High School 2-D: Jasmine Felton, first; Amelia Adams, second; and Tree Morgan Evans, third.

High School Advanced Placement: Sarah Garrett, first.

High School Architecture: Nick Saunders, first; Garrett Deshotels, second; and Elle Pickrell, third.

High School Graphic Design: Nathan Fairley, first; Grey Carruth, second; and Taylor Schoen, third.
