The St. Michael High School Band held its annual spring concert April 29 in the SMHS gym.

Performances from the percussion ensemble, jazz ensemble and the full concert band performed music they selected, and afterwards celebrated the awards the band earned at Festival Disney.

At festival, the concert band earned Best in Class in their division.

The jazz ensemble earned a superior rating and a Bronze Mickey — the prize for earning the third-highest score among the 6,000 student performers.

Junior Lindsey Ellis was recognized as an outstanding soloist and earned her own Mickey Award for her flute and piccolo playing.
