Noted genealogy historical researcher and author Yvonne Lewis Day is the featured speaker at the Foundation for Historical Louisiana’s Heritage Lecture on July 14.
The lecture begins at 6:30 p.m. in the East Room of the Old Governor’s Mansion. Refreshments will be served at 6 p.m.
Day’s lecture, titled “Genealogy Undressed: A Bare-Bones Account of Ancestral Adventure, Facts and Finds,” discusses the world of genealogy and historical record keeping.
Day is president of the Louisiana Genealogical and Historical Society and a member of the National Society United States Daughters of 1812 and the John James Audubon Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is the editor of the quarterly International Journal of Business and Information.
