Free St. Patrick’s rides
It’s not too late to sign up for free Uber rides home Saturday from Dudley DeBosier Injury Lawyers, part of the firm’s “Safe Ride Home” initiative to reduce incidents of drinking and driving during St. Patrick’s Day and other holidays.
Free rides are available only from establishments serving alcohol to residences within Baton Rouge. Ride costs are capped at $50; visit dudleydebosier.com/dd_does_right/saferidehome by noon Friday to register. Once registered, participants will receive email confirmation with a $50 Uber credit code valid from 10 a.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday.
Baton Rouge Community College Theatre will present "Topdog/Underdog" by Suzan-Lori Parks at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday at the Magnolia Pavilion’s Black Box Theatre.
The cast, directed by David Sedevie, assistant professor of film and theater, features Ahmad Guerin as Lincoln and Jabari London as Boothe, two black brothers coping with women, work, poverty, gambling, racism and their troubled upbringings.

CASA volunteer training
The Capital Area Court-Appointed Special Advocate Association is seeking volunteers to serve children in East Baton Rouge Parish. Volunteers speak up for abused children to help them reach safe, permanent homes.
The association is accepting people into its next volunteer training course, which begins April 18. No special background is required. Volunteers must attend a 45-minute orientation session at the association office, 848 Louisiana Ave. Upcoming sessions will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, 1 p.m. Tuesday and 3 p.m. March 30.
Leprechaun Game Night
A night of St. Patrick’s Day fun for all ages begins at 6 p.m. Friday at Perkins Road Community Park. Enjoy games such as searching for a pot of gold, Rainbow Races, Shamrock-N-Roller with sit-down scooters, and laser tag with the leprechaun.

Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center’s Dog Days at the Swamp returns Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All pets are welcome for a day on the trails but must be leashed and have their vaccinations current.

Teens can join LSU professor Shawn Walker at Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library at 3 p.m. March 23 for a presentation on liquid crystals and their everyday applications, as well as hands-on activities. Service hours will be offered.
