The West Feliciana Parish Early Childhood network is holding a Super Saturday Roundup from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 17 at Bains Lower Elementary School.

The schools are taking applications through March 23 for the 2018-2019 school year.

The network is a collaboration between Bains Lower Elementary and Family Service Center Head Center. All 4-year-old residents of West Feliciana Parish are eligible to attend a publicly funded prekindergarten program. To attend, students must be 4 on or before Sept. 30. For the Head Start program, children must be 3 on or before the date. Younger children can attend Early Head Start.

Parents must bring several documents to register their child for classes. These include a birth certificate, immunization record, medical card for the Head Start and Early Head Start programs, Social Security card, income verification and proof of residence, which can include a current driver's license, voter ID, lease/rental agreement or mortgage statement, or utility bill.

People with questions are encouraged to call Bains Lower Elementary at (225) 635-4696 or Family Service Head Start and Early Head Start at (225) 635-5299 or (225) 635-4020.
