It's homecoming week at West Feliciana High School in St. Francisville, and students and teachers have been participating in some fun activities.

Student dress-up days have included a Fourth of July theme, calling for red, white and blue attire; a Mardi Gras day with purple, gold and green clothing with beads; and a Halloween dress-up day, involving scary costumes.

On Thursday, Oct. 20, students are encouraged to wear Christmas-themed attire, including their tackiest holiday sweaters, or dress as an elf or Santa himself.

Friday is Spirit Day, and students are encouraged to wear their homecoming shirts and royal or white jeans.

Also on Friday, students will be dismissed at 12:08 p.m. to get ready for the annual homecoming parade, which rolls through St. Francisville beginning at 2:30 p.m.

This year's homecoming court will be presented during halftime of the Saints game against the Baker High Buffaloes at 7 p.m. The school dance is on Saturday.

West Feliciana's 2016 homecoming court includes Reilly Baber, Kia Coleman, Mika Cooper, Nneka Nwabueze, Madison O'Brien, Claudia Posey, Jordan Percy, India Richardson, La'Terrika Whitaker and Anne Young.
