Low-lying areas of St. Francisville flooded over the weekend.

As of lunchtime Monday, the Mississippi River was at 42 feet in Baton Rouge. Brian Spillman, of the West Feliciana Parish Emergency Operations Center, said the river is expected to crest at about 43 feet Thursday.

He said the water is expected to stay at that level for five to six days before it begins to fall slowly.

Five to six roads were closed in West Feliciana as of Monday. Spillman asked people to adhere to road closure signs because road damage is not visible under the water.
