Seven West Feliciana High School students admitted to Baton Rouge Youth Coalition Baton Rouge Youth Coalition prepares high-achieving under-resourced high school students for college and life success.

The West Feliciana High School students admitted to BRYC are:

  • Sierra Branstetter, senior
  • Rodricka Carmenia, senior
  • Kenan Cooper, sophomore
  • Kaylah Ford, senior
  • Kennedy London, junior
  • Eden “Echo” Moncivaez, junior
  • Le’Keldria Whitfield, junior

BRYC serves 250 fellows representing seven school districts. BRYC also supports its 215 college students and graduates, more than 80 percent of those who attend or have graduated from 50 colleges across 18 states, a news release said.

BRYC’s college persistence rate beats the national average for low-income students, which is 11 percent and BRYC alumni have earned more than $16.5 million in collective scholarship offers, the release said.
