Artwork from West Feliciana Parish students are highlighted on shopping bags at Audubon Market in St. Francisville.
West Feliciana Parish schools and Audubon Market in St. Francisville held a districtwide art contest last spring, celebrating the opening of the grocery store.
Students in kindergarten through 12th grade were invited to create original drawings, paintings or sketches that incorporated the new market and images of local history, culture or symbols in the artwork.
Audubon Market has since created a shopping bag highlighting all the winning students' artwork.
On one side of the bag is the sketch by the overall grand prize and first-place winner, Everitt Williamson, now a junior at West Feliciana High School.
On the other side of the reuseable shopping bag are the first-, second- and third-place winners' artwork.
Student winners from West Feliciana High included Summer Knight, best in show and second place, and Morgan Chism, third place.
West Feliciana Middle School winners were Alice Holland, first place; Connor Cook, second place; and Anna Kate Holmes, third place.
Bains Elementary winners were Katie Seal, first place; Brooklyn Phelan, second; and Charles Fox-Smith, third.
Bains Lower Elementary winners included Brylee Broussard, first place; Mae Hazlip, second place; and Katlyn Cormier, third place.
