Anniversary blessings to Mr. and Mrs. Ranfy Foulks, of Amite, on Oct. 25. May you have a lovely and loving day!

Also, to Anita and Tom Wascom, a blessed anniversary on Oct. 24. Kudos to you two!

Dima Blagoev, president of Russia’s Global Strategy Christian Association, was the Oct. 11 guest speaker at Amite Cornerstone Church.

Very interesting Echoes From the Past photo in a recent Echo, from 1931, of J.H. Crow, of Ethel, being the oldest Model A Ford driver in Mississippi and the U.S. Also, a real old photo of the St. Helena Health Unit staff, from December 1988. I don’t know for sure, but I believe I was working at the paper when that photo was published.

Praise God for deputies Thomas Gordon and George Baker, of the St. Helena Sheriff’s Office, for their rescue of Lucky, a puppy, from an old water well. His name should be Blessed instead of Lucky thanks to the two rescuers!

In Psalm 121 it says, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills. From which cometh my help?” And the answer follows, “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” God is not an aloof being, but a companion who is always awake to our circumstances, guiding and guarding our journey through life, forever.
