Echo’s From the Past for Thursday, May 14, 2015 _lowres

The original publication from 1931 reads: 'Greensburg is offered a rare opportunity in securing the services of Dr. Theodore Copeland of Dallas, Texas, General Conference Evangelist, who will preach a series or sermons at the Methodist Church, beginning next Sunday, Feb. 8. Good singing and a cordial welcome. Don't fail, hear him. Dr.Copeland was a noted pastor for 25 years, serving stations such as the Rayne Memorial Church in New Orleans; St. Paul's in St. Louis, Missouri; Cabanne Church in Grenada, Mississippi; St. Paul's in Birmingham, Alabama; Central Church of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and the First Church of Texarcana, Arkansas. He has preached all over the United States and has led literally thousands to Christ, and with the exception of Billy Sunday, is the only evangelist listed in "Who's Who in America."'

Each week, we’ll take a look back at photos published in The Echo. The feature photo for this week’s Echo’s From the Past is from the Feb. 13, 1931, edition of the St. Helena Echo.
