The body of a Greensburg man whose truck was swept away by flood waters was recovered late Friday, State Police said Saturday.

Samuel Muse, 54, was driving his pickup west on La. 10, about five miles northwest of Greensburg, when he attempted to drive through high water and his vehicle was swept off the road near Darlings Creek, State Police said.

When troopers arrived, several feet of water was crossing La. 10 and Muse's vehicle was not visible.

Muse's body was recovered by the St. Helena Parish Fire District 4.

The truck will be recovered once flood waters recede, State Police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
