My youngest sister, Shirley Ann Miller, of Grangeville, recently returned from a visit with her four children and families of Georgia: Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Jones, of Alpharetta; Alisha and Sid and Bryan and Abby, both of Cumming; and Amy Jones and her family, of Woodstock. Marie and Maurice took her to board the train in Slidell.

The apostle Paul writes in Philippians, “The peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Believers in Christ Jesus can have peace in the midst of uncertainties because we have the assurance of our heavenly father’s love. He cares for his children and cares for our needs. Our peace comes from the confidence that Jesus loves us and he is in control. He alone provides the comfort that settles our nerves, fills our minds with hope and allows us to relax in the midst of change and challenges! Isaiah 26:3, says “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”
