Area churches are hosting a variety of programs for the whole family to enjoy in coming weeks.

Easter observance

Inspiration Park will host its annual Easter observance at 7 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 5. Returning after many requests will be Lori and the By Faith singers.

There will be free hot coffee, biscuits and sausage, hosted by New Zion volunteers.

Although some benches are available, it is requested that you bring a lawn chair.

An added experience this year will be a warm fire near the food gazebo. Inspiration Park is located just west of Kentwood on La. 38 and east of Easleyville.

Women’s Day services

Lazard Temple COGIC, 43 South St., Greensburg, is holding a Woman’s Day service at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 29.

Mount Everett anniversary

Mount Everett African Methodist Episcopal Church, 4280 La. 37, Greensburg, is holding a church anniversary program at 2 p.m. Sunday. The speaker for the event will be the Rev. Norwert Hill Sr., from Greater Mount Olive Church in Independence. Call (225) 222-6820.

Chapel Family, Friends Day

Family and Friends Day is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday at Morris Chapel Church of God in Christ, 1328 McDaniel Road, Amite.

The service will feature the Morris Chapel Sanctuary Choir. Guest soloist will be gospel recording artist Gail Fly, of New Orleans, and the guest speaker will be Bishop Michael L. Smith, of New Covenant Christian Center of Baker, along with his music ministry.
