Echo’s From the Past _lowres

Wishing you all the little miracles that make up a happy birthday. Happy birthday to Willie Arnold, of Greensburg, and Joel Snoddy, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, both March 29.

---

Happy anniversary to Leanna and Mike Woodard, of La. 37 south of Greensburg, March 29. May your special day hold many hidden treasures and unexpected joys hidden in your heart.

---

Birthday greetings to my sister, Shirley Ann Miller, of Grangeville, on March 12, when her employees allowed her to take off. They also blessed her with red roses and she received roses from her children, plus they all called her. She has four children in Georgia, A.J. and his wife, Carrie, Amy and David, Abby and Brian and Alisha Jones.

If mom were still living, she would have been 81 on March 20. She’s been with Jesus since 2010. I miss her a lot.

---

Cornerstone Church of Amite had a “Kiss the Pig” event March 1. Couples could either kiss a pig or a guinea pig. It was the church’s annual fundraiser for the youth.

Congratulations to Shane Couset for showing off your Hereford at the state livestock show at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales.

To these families in their loss of loved ones, Sam Guzzardo, Percy Jackson, Faye Pike and Herbert Shaw, prayers are extended.

As we model the love of our savior (John 13:34-35), visualize the difference it could make if we set out to encourage each other; if we had our own cheerleading section. The race would be easier for us, we would take the words “comfort each other and edify one another,” from Thessalonians 5:11, seriously. A word of encouragement can make the difference between giving up and going on.
