Northshore Technical Community College-Florida Parishes Campus held its spring 2015 Practical Nursing Pinning Ceremony on May 8 at The Lord’s Church in Kentwood.
There were 19 graduates for the spring 2015 semester Practical Nursing Program and, seven students graduated with 3.0 grade-point average or above.
Kimberly Busby received the highest grade-point average award with a 3.8. GPA.
The following awards were presented during the ceremony: Keri King received the Leadership Award; Tiffany Vinci received the Clinical Excellence Award; Teneekah Perkins received the Most Improved Overall award; and Carla Arnold received the Nightingale Award.
Sharon Hornsby, dean of campus administration, gave words of encouragement to the graduates. The Rev. Brent King, pastor at The Lord’s Church, was the guest speaker. The pinning ceremony ended with a standing ovation for the Spring 2015 Practical Nursing Graduates.
The 2015 Practical Nursing graduates were Carla Arnold, Dakota Arnold, Kriston Bergeron, Nakita Bickham, Jonathan Blahut, Wendy Blalock, Kimberly Busby, Latonya Cook, Priscilla Doughty, Lakeisha Eason, Dominick Hall, Gabrielle King, Keri King, Eva McNerney, Kaley McTaggart, Teneekah Perkins, Payton Pevey, Breanna Rochon and Tiffany Vinci.
