The Amite High Class of 1965 recently held their class reunion at the Skeet Club on what used to be called Chicken Farm Road. It was the 50th reunion and everyone had a great time renewing acquaintances and reminiscing!

We will surely miss Dean Sharon Hornsby when she retires in October. They honored her with a retirement party July 7. Sharon is the dean of Northshore Technical Community College in Greensburg.

My sister Marie and her husband are having a great time with their grandsons, Jackson and Carter, before they begin school in September. Jackson and Carter are the sons of Will and Christy Wall, of Purvis, Mississippi.

The Apostle Paul’s letter to the followers of Jesus in Thessalonia holds a picture of life-giving relationships in God’s family. “We exhorted and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children.” (1 Thess. 2:11)
