One St. Helena: You Are Not Entitled _lowres

Jasper Knighten

Life is a beautiful maze. It is an experience filled with discovery after discovery. Life is filled with endless opportunities. Life is a canvas waiting to be painted.

Life is what we make of it.

When each of us is born, we have an innate desire to be fulfilled. We were created with a void. Our void is filled through the conquering of goals.

Many times in life, we become so consumed with the destination and forget the importance of the journey. Each phase of life and each challenge in life is constructed around a tedious process ultimately resulting in a desired result coming to fruition. In order for life to become more fulfilling, we must learn to embrace the sweat, pain, tears, sacrifice and grind of the process.

No matter the area or feat in life, the process is more important than the end result. Naturally, we are inclined to want to take the easy road. We dread having to fight and claw for what we desire.

Quite frankly, every single facet of life is made of opposition. In order to attain anything in this life, a war will be waged. In order to win the war of life, an individual must have a determined mind and a never-say-die attitude.

We must learn to train our minds to accept the bumps and bruises along life’s journey. The key to being victorious in life is to see the seemingly negative situations as enablers to our success.

We must embrace the difficulty of life. Life is not easy by any stretch of the imagination. Despite life being difficult, it is not impossible to beat the odds. We were made to beat the odds. We were made to be the beneficiaries of the rewards of life.

Reprogram your mind. It is time to transition to a higher level of thinking. Begin to enjoy the day-to-day grind of life. Enjoy the journey to the attainment of your goals. Remember, true fulfillment is in the journey, not in the destination. From this day forward, make a vow to enjoy the grind, embrace the pain and receive the fulfillment you deserve.
