The final concert in the St. Francisville Symphony Association’s 2015-16 series will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Grace Episcopal Church in St. Francisville.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with a wine and cheese reception sponsored by St. Francisville’s Audubon Market, along with a silent auction of select and rare wines to be held in Jackson Hall.
The event is a fundraiser for the Symphony Association.
Admission to the wine reception and auction is only $10 per person except for season ticket holders, who will be admitted free.
During the reception, several collections of wines will be auctioned. Audubon Market is donating one bottle of each wine offered at the reception.
“There will likely be some very special, hard-to-find and rare wines in the auction, which will make for an exciting silent auction,” SFSA President Treva Tidwell said.
The concert will feature a piano trio from the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, who will play pieces by Johannes Brahms and Dmitri Shostakovich.
Also, the West Feliciana High School senior receiving the 2016 SFSA Scholarship will be announced.
Tickets to the concert are $25 at the door or available in advance at the Bank of St. Francisville.
