The West Feliciana Parish Food Pantry and Clothes Closet in St. Francisville have received much support from the community over the years, including from businesses, churches and residents who donate time, money, food, clothing and housewares.

The West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office has provided manpower to help with heavy lifting, cleaning, construction and repairs, and has picked up food from the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.

Volunteers and organizers of the nonprofits say they are grateful for the support.

As a reminder, food distribution days at the food pantry are from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of every month.

Eligibility requirements include proof of residence within West Feliciana Parish, proof of income for each adult in the household and photo identification.

The next Clothes Closet sale is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon March 12 at 4591 Feliciana St.

Volunteers are always welcome, as are monetary donations, which can be mailed to P.O. Box 1357, St. Francisville, LA 70775. For information, email
