The West Feliciana Animal Humane Society, at 9946 W. Feliciana Parkway, St. Francisville, operates a low-kill shelter, which only euthanizes dogs and cats that are severely injured, very ill or a danger to others, officials said.

Dogs and cats are available for adoption at the shelter. Dogs are $75 and cats cost $50; the fee covers spaying/neutering, deworming, rabies shot, tests and all immunizations until the animal is adopted.
