Ronald J. “Ronnie” Bourgeois, 69, no party, is running to retain his post as constable of West Feliciana Parish.
Bourgeois, a Baton Rouge native, graduated from Lee High School and attended LSU at Eunice, where he earned associate degrees in criminal justice and fire science.
He retired as a senior trooper after 21 years with Louisiana State Police and as a deputy state fire marshal after 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections.
Bourgeois worked part time for the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office as a deputy in the Civil Division for 14 years.
He was sworn in as an appointed constable of West Feliciana Parish in January.
Bourgeois has lived outside of St. Francisville for the past 50 years and has been married to Stella for 41 years. They have one son, Mitch; a daughter, Michelle Bourgeois Weller; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
