The Early Childhood Education Cohort 2, from West Feliciana Parish Schools, will host its inaugural coordinated enrollment event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Super Roundup Saturday offers parents and caregivers a unique opportunity to discover a multitude of educational venues for children under age 5 in West Feliciana for the 2016-17 school year, a news release said.
As part of the work of Cohort 2 partners, applications for families participating in early childhood enrollment in prekindergarten, Head Start, Early Head Start and the First Steps Christian Learning Center will be available in one place, with criteria for each program being addressed. Families will be able to examine each program’s guidelines as well.
Documents required for applications include: birth certificate, Social Security card, medical card, immunization record, proof of residence and income verification for the Head Start, Early Head Start and First Steps programs only.
Resource material from several community organizations will be available during the event, as well as hot dogs, chips, snacks and water provided for enrollment participants.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to visit wfpsb.org and select coordinated enrollment for information, or call First Steps Christian Learning Center at (225) 635-4050, Family Service Center Head Start at (225) 635-5449 or Bains Lower Elementary at (225) 635-4696.
