Calling area teens
The West Feliciana Parish Library in St. Francisville is recruiting middle and high school students to be on the next Teen Library Council.
The TLC assists in planning programs, providing information on teen interests and performing community service.
Applications for area teens who wish to return as members or join will be accepted through Aug. 28. Completion of the application does not guarantee membership, which depends on the number of participants.
Adults with leadership skills interested in directing Teen Library Council activities in the coming year are encouraged to call Library Director Glenna Clark Fallin at (225) 635-3364 or visit wfplibrary.org.
Do you know your district?
Redistricting has been completed, and West Feliciana Parish government has posted two detailed maps of the 2015 council districts and polling districts.
On one map, districts are shaded and voting precincts outlined, and on the other map, council districts are outlined and voting precincts shaded. An index of polling locations is included.

Polos and Pearls planned

The West Feliciana Library, Historical Museum and St. Francisville Town Hall will host special exhibits, while musicians will be performing genres of music from blues to banjo-picking.
