PacTec Inc., of Clinton, recently presented the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots campaign with a truckload of new toys for children in the area.

Each year during the holidays, PacTec employees choose a worthy cause to donate toys, and this year, Marketing Director Trey Castleberry presented the staff with a new idea — in lieu of holding a “white elephant” gift exchange at the company Christmas party — employees were encouraged to bring their favorite childhood toys to donate to area children.

“The unselfish kindness of our staff is truly awe inspiring,” Castleberry said. “Employees from every level and department participated, and, as a company, we were able to donate hundreds of terrific toys worth thousands of dollars to give local children a Christmas they won’t soon forget.”

Mike Schilling, PacTec president and CEO, said it was great to begin a new company holiday tradition and watch staff give to those less fortunate.

“It was very humbling. We are blessed to have a terrific group of employees,” Schilling said.
