Entergy donated $1,500 to the middle school to help some of the students reach their target potential, a news release said.

The Feliciana tennis community held its inaugural Feliciana Tennis Classic March 27-29 at the West Feliciana Parish Sports Park in St. Francisville.

The tennis tournament drew about 70 players and even more spectators.

All proceeds from the event will benefit West Feliciana Middle School.

Entergy was the sponsor of a jambalaya social and donated $1,500 in support of programs at the middle school. The funds will target students performing below grade level and low socioeconomic students, said Willia Parkerson, of the West Feliciana Parent-Teacher Organization.

Entergy’s Kevin Dreher presented the check to West Feliciana Principal Javonka Ganes.

Parkerson and Miles Higgins, representing the Feliciana tennis community, attended the presentation.
