The West Feliciana Education Foundation, a nonprofit that fosters community support for the West Feliciana School System through volunteerism and financial contributions, has announced it is accepting applications for the Grants for Innovative Teaching program.

The foundation will provide grants to support educators who have new, creative or beneficial projects designed to engage and excite students in the classroom or to provide training to teachers, enabling them to better serve their students.

Each school in the West Feliciana district will receive at least one grant, the organization said.

Educators may apply for up to $2,000. Grant applications will be reviewed by the WFEF grant committee and presented to the board of directors for final approval. The deadline to apply is March 15, and awards will be announced May 15.
