Dixie Electric Membership Corporation has named Brent Bradley as vice president of marketing and member services.
Bradley will be responsible for overseeing economic development, marketing and communications, customer service operations and subsidiary business ventures, according to a news release.
Bradley, of Zachary, is in his 10th year with the organization and has served in numerous capacities. He joined DEMCO as manager of member and public relations and, since then, has managed several divisions that fall within the department he now leads.
“We are pleased to have individuals within our employee family who are able to continue to serve our members with the high standard of excellence they expect and deserve,” DEMCO General Manager and CEO John Vranic said. “Brent is prepared to take an even greater leadership role in working to achieve the progress and growth we envision for the communities we serve. He is well-suited to meet the demands of this new role and eager to help carry out our core mission of improving the quality of life for everyone in our service area.”
Bradley has distinguished himself as a local member services and economic development professional who has been heavily involved in the business community while working with business leaders throughout the cooperative’s seven-parish service on a wide range of projects and while promoting the many advantages of pursuing commerce in south Louisiana, Vranic said.
Bradley serves as chairman for the Zachary Economic Development Council and is on the board of the Livingston Economic Development Council.
He is a past board member of the West Feliciana Parish Tourist Commission and past president of the Zachary Chamber of Commerce.
He is married to Mandy Bradley, an art teacher at Zachary High School. The couple has two children: Lauren, 11, and John, 8.
DEMCO is a locally owned electric utility that serves over 106,000 members in Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Livingston, St. Helena, Tangipahoa and West Feliciana parishes.
