The 2016 Feliciana Spring Tournament presented by the Feliciana Tennis Community is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. April 8 and end at 7 p.m. April 10 and promises to be a weekend of competition and fun in support of West Feliciana High School’s tennis team and athletics department.
The format is traditional men’s and women’s doubles for ages 18 and up. Men’s levels include 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and open, while the women’s levels include 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and open.
A Red Ball side tournament, which costs $10 to enter, is open to all participants. The first-place winner will receive 50 percent of all entry fees, while the second-place winner will be awarded $10.
Matches will begin at 6 p.m. April 8 and at 8 a.m. April 9. Sunday’s schedule to be announced.
Besides tennis matches, there will be food, beer and music free to players at a social gathering following competition April 9. Guests are welcome to attend for a $15 donation, payable at the door.
Cost to enter the tournament is $75 per person, and entry fees are due by 5 p.m. Saturday. To register, visit www.felicianatennis.com/. Tournament draws will be posted online by 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Registration will not be accepted without payment, and no refunds will be granted after draws are posted. However, the tournament director may extend registration exceptions on a case-by-case basis as deemed necessary.
