Congratulations are in order for St. Francisville Mayor Billy D’Aquilla and his sleigh, Buttercup. The West Feliciana mayor is the winner of East Feliciana’s ninth annual Ebenezer Scrooge Reindeer Races held Saturday in the town of Jackson. D’Aquilla partnered with East Feliciana native Marcus McGehee, and the two won their heat against Jackson’s Scotty Dawson and Chris Guillot, of the Volunteer Fire Department.

D’Aquilla, who was the Sleigh Executive Rider, was pushed by a blindfolded McGehee, who was the Motivating Individual of the team. The pair won the championship race. It was a pleasure to meet Yolanda D’Aquilla and Mayor Billy on Saturday.
