Incumbent faces familiar opponent in clerk’s race _lowres

Felicia Ann Daniel Hendl, a 62-year-old Democrat from St. Francisville, is running for re-election as the West Feliciana Parish clerk of court.

With degrees in business and public relations, Hendl has 39 years’ experience in office management, 31 years’ experience as a notary and has worked in the Clerk of Court’s Office for 18 years, 11 years as clerk.

Hendl is certified by the Louisiana Clerk of Court Association, she said in a written announcement.

Hendl has served on the Clerk of Court Retirement Board and serves on the Louisiana Clerk of Court Insurance Board, Louisiana Clerk of Court Board of Directors, International Association of Clerks, Recorders and Election Officials, and Treasurers and Louisiana Clerk of Court Association.

She attends Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, is a member of Feliciana Gardeners, a charter member of the St. Francisville Rotary Club and a board member of LA Vets Fest. She is past president and secretary of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Ladies Auxiliary, past president of the Women’s Service League, past secretary of the local chapter of the Salvation Army, and has served on the St. Francisville Chamber of Commerce and Civil Club boards.

Hendl is married to Joe Hendl and has two sons: Robert Triche, who is married to Johnnie, and Chris Triche, who is married to Kirsten. Her six grandchildren are Daniel, Mackenzie, Taylor, Brooklynn, Olivia and Bodie.

“It’s an honor to serve the public by bringing courteous and reliable service, leadership and energy and dedication and consistency to the Clerk’s Office,” Hendl said. “I face difficult situations and make tough calls on a daily basis, doing what needs to be done.”

The election is Oct. 24.
