Chamber Uncorked, a fundraising event for the St. Francisville Chamber of Commerce was held on June 13 at Wyoming Plantation, the home of Leonard Sullivan, of St. Francisville.
Attendees grouped together in teams of two or three, donating three bottles of wine per team — two were wrapped, given a number and set out for tasting, while the third was set aside as a prize.
Guests tasted and rated 22 wines, voting for their top two favorites as well as the worst-tasting wine.
The team of Sara Klein, Nicole Means and Bettsie Norton brought the best-tasting wine, and Jennifer and Brian Rome were judged to have the second-best. Both teams earned a collection of prize wines.
The event was sponsored by eight area businesses, and all proceeds will benefit the St. Francisville chamber.
Chamber Director Kerry Everitt said the inaugural fundraiser was well-attended. “It was a really fun night,” she said.
