A native wildlife photography contest and show will be held at the 13th annual Yellow Leaf Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 24-25 in St. Francisville.

Over 50 artisans and crafters will be participating, including this year’s featured artist Mitch Evans, who specializes in carving, sculpting, painting and working in wood. Evans designed this year’s festival poster.

Arts For All, a nonprofit that promotes and supports the arts and artists in West Feliciana Parish, invites all photographers to enter the contest with up to three photographs of native wildlife taken in East Feliciana, West Feliciana or Pointe Coupee parishes.

Photographs must be delivered to Parker Park on Commerce Street in St. Francisville at 9 a.m. Oct. 24.

A registration fee of $15 — $5 for Arts For All members — will be assessed and payable when dropping off entries. Fees will be waived for artists who have rented a booth space at the Yellow Leaf Festival.

All entries will be judged during the festival.

A cash prize of $100 will be awarded for first place and $50 for second and third places. A People’s Choice award will be selected by those visiting the exhibit.

Winners will be announced at 4 p.m. Oct. 25.

All entries must be picked up at that time.
