The 2015 Summer Reading program celebrated its theme “Every Hero Has a Story” on July 30 at the West Feliciana Parish Library.

Since the first Thursday in June, children from across the parish participated in the program and won prizes.

For every 15 minutes children read or listened to books, they received a sticker; prizes were awarded for every 10 stickers.

The library staff was assisted by seven student volunteers from the Capital Area United Way’s Youth Volunteer Corps who contributed 123 hours of their time to ensure the program’s success.
