The Zachary Plainsman and Advocate’s first Classroom of the Month, a new feature, is teacher Cory Lemoine’s class of first-graders at Rollins Place Elementary in Zachary. Each month, Zachary community schools will select a classroom for this feature.

Students were asked the following questions:

What do you want to be when you grow up, and what will you need?

Jayden Barnes: I want to be a police officer and will need a Taser, a gun, police dog, truck and belt.

Kaitlyn Montgomery: I want to be a baby teacher. I will need babies, a rocking chair, beds, toys, Pampers, noonies (pacifiers), baby food, bibs for their mouths, bottles, water, milk, juice and baby shoes and socks.

Kenadee Cavalier: I want to be a teacher. I will need a desk, a stack of kids, my room decorated and some books.

Camille Masterson: I want to be a nurse. I will need a Band-Aid, tape, a flashlight and a cast.

Adriana Rivera: I want to be a teacher. I will need boys and girls, tables, desks and cubes.

Elliot Malden: I want to be a football player. I have to have a helmet, jersey, football coach and a team.

Kaylee Ricard: I want to be a teacher. I will need markers, colors and children.

Memphis Hernandez: I want to be a FBI agent. I will need a pistol, a Taser and gear.

Skylar Norred: I want to be a veterinarian. I will need some doctor tools, animals and gloves.

Ashlyn Hodges: I want to be a teacher. I will need a classroom, some children, glue, scissors, paper, markers, writing folders and colors.

Haden Spinks: I want to be a Army trooper. I will need a gun and some Army clothes.

Landon Maharrey: I want to be an engineer. I will need a wrench, some cars to fix and a garage to work in.

Olivia Santangelo: I want to be a veterinarian. I will need animals, tools, water and little animals such as turtles.

Cooper Walters: I want to be a police officer. I will need a car and siren on top.

Avery Gravois: I want to be a baseball player. I will need a bat, a glove and a team.

Troyvon Pollard: I want to be an astronaut when I grow up. I will need a helmet and breathing tank and some astronaut clothes and an astronaut ship and gloves.

Winston Moss: I want to be an engineer. I will need tools, tape, a computer and a person, and I will get a lot of money.

Braeden Pierre: I want to be a racecar man (driver). I will need a track, cars, wheels, people, lights, engines, steering wheels, food, drinks and finish lines.

DeQuincy Johnson: I want to be a police officer. I will need a Taser, a gun, a police car and police dog, and a police vest.

Aaron Gaines: I want to be an astronaut. I will need a helmet, a rocket, jet pack, badges, jackets and pants.

Raylin Allen: I want to be a teacher. I will need worksheets, table, children, a chair, paper, a pet that is a class pet and a pencil.

Aubri Scott: I want to be a nurse. I will need a nurse’s suit, a nurse’s bag, patients, a boss, an office to help people feel better, different medicines and food and drink.

Gabriella Hernandez: I want to be a teacher. I will need a classroom, I will need some kids, I will need a sub (substitute), and I will need a student teacher.
