Local businessman Jason St. Romain recently was appointed by the East Baton Rouge Parish Metro Council to a four-year term on the Board of Commissioners at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary.
St. Romain replaces Dell Guerra, who served on Lane’s board for the past 12 years.
A native of New Roads, St. Romain has more than 13 years’ experience as a doctor of veterinary medicine and co-owner of the Animal Center in Zachary.
He serves on the Zachary Chamber of Commerce board and is a past president.
He is also a commissioner for the Louisiana State Brand Commission.
A graduate of Catholic High of Pointe Coupee, St. Romain received his undergraduate degree training at LSU and his Doctorate of Veterinarian Medicine from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.
He and his wife, Ellen, live in Zachary with their two children, Kaylin, 12, and Carter, 9.
St. Romain volunteers in the community as a coach of youth sports, at the annual Zachary Arts and Music Festival and by serving on economic development boards.
“Lane has served my family for many years and is a valuable resource for our region,” St. Romain said. “I look forward to serving on the board and being part of the organization’s progressive future.”
