Applications for the sixth annual LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses, hosted by the LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute, are now open. Nominations and applications can be found at

The LSU 100 is a highly competitive program that identifies, recognizes and celebrates the 100 fastest-growing Tiger-owned or Tiger-led businesses in the world.

In addition to celebrating the success of the honorees, the LSU 100 provides a forum to pass lessons on to the next generation of LSU entrepreneurs, according to a news release.

Anyone can nominate a company for the list, and people may nominate themselves, colleagues, clients or former classmates.

Companies must meet the following criteria to be eligible: must have been in business for five years or more; must have verifiable revenues of at least $100,000 for the 2012 to 2015 calendar years; must have a former LSU student as owner of at least 50 percent of the company or as chief executive officer, president or managing partner; and must operate in a manner consistent with the mission of LSU and the Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute.

“The LSU 100 has grown into a premier event recognizing alumni who have reached the highest levels of business excellence,” said Robin Kistler, director of LSU 100.

“These former students come from all academic disciplines, and we are proud of their leadership and organizational success.”

Postlethwaite and Netterville serves as the official accounting firm of the LSU 100, and all financial information collected during the process remains confidential.

The firm will share the 2016 LSU 100 list with LSU’s Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute in early August, and the LSU 100 dinner will be held Oct. 13 at L’Auberge Casino and Hotel in Baton Rouge.
