Shelbi Annette Bush, of Zachary, graduated from Samford University during its recent commencement exercises.

Bush earned a Bachelor of Arts from the School of the Arts.

Samford University, in Birmingham, Alabama, was founded in 1841 and enrolls 4,933 students from 44 states and 25 countries in 10 academic units: arts, arts and sciences, business, divinity, education, health professions, law, nursing, pharmacy and public health.

Samford also fields 17 NCAA Division 1 teams that compete in the Southern Conference, a news release said.
