Zachary High Library Club attends conference _lowres

The Zachary High School Library Club attended the Louisiana Teen-age Librarians Association conference in Alexandria in February.

The LTLA is made up of library clubs from middle and high schools across the state.

This year, library club members participated in contests and workshops conducted by the Louisiana State Library and Rapides Parish Public Library, a book fair, a dance, social games and a banquet featuring author Sarah Guillory, a teacher at Brusly High School.

At the LTLA conference, Zachary student Spencer Bynum served as chairman of the T-shirt contest, Akira Grant placed third in the drawing contest and served as chairwoman of the Junior Bookmark committee, Hallie Russell served as chairwoman of the Junior Scrapbook contest, Bre’ana Smith served as chairwoman of the Junior Bulletin Board contest and JaeLynn Taylor served as the voting delegate.
