Joggers, runners and walkers are getting ready to “gleaux” at the second annual Zachary Gleaux Run.

Onsite registration begins at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 for the 1-mile fun run/walk, which begins at 5:45 p.m.

The 5K begins at 6 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded for best overall glow attire and 5K race winners.

T-shirts will be given to all 5K participants.

The Zachary Chamber of Commerce, host of the race, will have a pre-party at the YMCA at 4:30 p.m.

Face painting, glow balloons, glow bracelet-making, glow-in-the-dark glider making and a glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt will be featured, according to Chamber officials.

A DJ will play music, and food and drinks will be served at Americana’s The Pointe following the race. The Pointe also serves as the race’s finish line.

A black light with props will be set up for those who want to take glow run photographs.

“This is a family-friendly event perfect for after the Thanksgiving holiday,” said Kate MacArthur with the Zachary Chamber.
