Zachary residents Joe and Kelli Cox opened a local franchise of 2 Maids and A Mop on Monday, serving Baker, Central, Denham Springs, Donaldsonville, Gonzales, Plaquemine, Port Allen, St. Gabriel, Walker and Zachary.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the Zachary Chamber of Commerce on March 30 and welcomed the business both to the community and as a Chamber member.

Joe, a Georgia native, and his wife, a Zachary native, said the business model of 2 Maids is unique in that employees are paid according to their performance.

“Cleaning jobs are rated from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best,” Joe Cox said. “The rating directly determines the compensation level for the two maids assigned to clean a home. That way, they have a vested interest in the success of the company.”

Cleaning packages and free quotes for residential cleaning can be determined on the company’s website and range from top-to-bottom deep cleaning to light touch-up jobs as frequently as desired.

Two maids are assigned to clean one home and travel with their own cleaning supplies.

“We are passionate about people and building a business that provides opportunities for us, our family and our team members. Owning a cleaning business may not seem like the ideal dream, but I’m grateful to be living my dream today,” Cox said.
