The Zachary Charity League is hosting its inaugural bed races from 3 p.m. to about 5 p.m. on Nov. 21, depending on how many teams participate.

Following the races, a concert will be held featuring Zachary singer-songwriter Michelle Willis, Three Piece White and David St. Romain.

Pizza from Chubby’s Grill, gumbo from Lagniappe, nachos, beer, wine, water and soft drinks will be sold.

To enter the races, registration forms can be downloaded at zacharycharity.org or by emailing zacharycharityleague@gmail.com.

Teams must consist of five members — four pushers and one rider — and entry fee is $150 per team.

All proceeds will benefit ZCL’s philanthropic endeavors: the Lane Regional Medical Center Foundation and Zachary Historical Village’s walking track.

Tickets for the concert are $10 each and can be purchased from the Bank of Zachary in advance or at the door for $15. Sponsorship opportunities remain at the $100 and $250 levels.
