Spectators lined Main Street on Friday awaiting the annual homecoming parade, which capped off a week of activities for high school students, teachers and administrators.

Each school within the Zachary Community School System entered a float into the parade, along with cheerleaders, dancers, varsity and youth football teams, the ZHS marching band, flag corps, twirler, ROTC and each maid on the homecoming court.

Zachary fire and police departments were represented as well.

Candy, beads, cups, flying discs and more were thrown to paradegoers.

Later, the Zachary Broncos defeated the Denham Springs Yellow Jackets 32-30 in Bronco Stadium.

The homecoming dance was held Saturday in the school’s gym.
