BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo, 3601 Thomas Road, is hosting its annual City Appreciation Days in February, beginning with Baker on Saturday.
Also included in the series are City Appreciation Days for Baton Rouge, Feb. 13; Zachary, Feb. 20; and Central, Feb. 27.
“Our city appreciation day series began a couple of years ago, and we’re happy to bring it back again,” said Phil Frost, zoo director. “We want to make sure our surrounding communities know how much we truly appreciate their continuing support in making the zoo a premiere family attraction in East Baton Rouge Parish.”
On each city’s day of the series, visitors to the zoo will get one free admission with the purchase of one regular-priced admission by presenting a Louisiana driver’s license with a recognized ZIP code within that particular day’s city limits.
The “buy-one, get-one” discount will be recognized for the following ZIP codes: Feb. 6, 70714 and 70704; Feb. 13, all ZIP codes beginning with 708 except 70818; Feb. 20, 70791; and Feb. 27, 70818, 70739 and 70770.
The zoo’s offer is valid on recognized City Appreciation Days only and not in combination with any other offers.
BREC’s Zoo offers Realm of the Tiger, Flamingo Cove, Giants of the Islands, Safari Playground, L’aquarium de Louisiane, Parrot Paradise and KidsZoo exhibits for all ages. For information, visit brzoo.org.
