Zachary and the Zachary Chamber of Commerce have partnered with WZHS, Zachary High School’s video broadcasting class, to produce a promotional video showcasing the community.
Once complete, the video will be featured on the city’s new website as a 90-second introduction to Zachary, with a longer version airing in April in the Lake Charles area to promote the Rotary conference scheduled for Zachary in 2017.
The video also may be used as a promotional tool to entice businesses and visitors to the area.
On Feb. 4, WZHS senior videographer Lauren Lane was on location in the Zachary Historical Village filming the first segment of the video inside the J.W. McHugh General Merchandise Store.
Local businesspeople, residents and youths will be featured in the video.
“We’re super excited for this project and look forward to working with Zachary High’s video production team,” Mayor David Amrhein said. “Anytime we can showcase our city and our talented students at the same time, it’s a victory for Zachary.”
The crew plans to film at additional locations throughout Zachary.
