Around Zachary for June 9, 2016 _lowres

The Zachary Elementary Parent Teacher Organization supports the elementary schools in the Zachary Community school system, and the organization is collecting Box Tops for Education, Community Coffee labels, Labels for Education, Tyson A+ labels and printer ink cartridges.

Last year, the Zachary PTO was third in the state for coffee labels and wants to be first this year.

The organization is encouraging families to save the items, and send them to their child’s teacher.

And a special shout-out to Northwestern Elementary and Zachary Early Learning Center! The schools tied in winning the label and cartridge collection drive for the second nine-week period.

The students will receive a frozen treats party as their reward for bringing in the most loot.
