YMCA of the Capital Area is hosting its 14th annual Angel Tree Program.

Community members can select an angel, listing a child’s gender, age and requested Christmas gifts, from a YMCA branch’s Christmas tree. Gifts are due by Dec. 18 so gifts may be distributed to families before Christmas morning.

The YMCA’s angels are children in its Saturday outreach program at the park behind Bon Carre off Florida Boulevard, children who have a parent in prison and children currently in foster care. All children on the Angel Tree qualify for free and/or reduced lunches at school.

YMCA of the Capital Area also is accepting donations for the annual Community Support Campaign, a scholarship fund for underprivileged people who are unable to afford YMCA programs.
